My Informercial Queen

Katie is a sucker for commercials! It cracks me up. A few months ago she came to me and told me that she saw something on TV that only cost $19 that would make my skin really soft and it had everything I needed. This cool scrubber, that nifty polisher etc... It was in response to me telling her I wish I had baby soft skin like her and Sara.
Every week there is some new toy that she wants. Mind you we watch very little commercials. Mostly the kids watch Nick Jr which is commercial free bless there hearts. But occasionally Chase is on one of the bigger kid cartoon channels and they get her. This week she is all about Pillow Pets. That is what she wants for her birthday. At Christmas it was Zhu Zhu pets. Who knows what it will be next week.

I wish I could remember the words that came out of her mouth a couple of days. It was another one of those, "Mom I saw the perfect thing for you" conversations. My mind is drawing a total blank now that I am trying to blog about it. But it was SOOOOO funny. I vaguely remember that it was about my feet. Humm...maybe she will remember.

I felt bad that I really didn't get to talk much on Friday. Looks like you are busy with a ton of projects.
PS you can get these pillow pets at rite aid for $5.00. I got them for my kids and they love them for traveling pillows.
PSS Let do a game night soon

That made me laugh so hard. We should never let her watch TV with Ryan. He constantly comes to me letting me in on the latest gadget that I NEED. It is hilarious is once way and drives me crazy in another. Glad to know it's not just me.

Is it wrong that I saw that ad and wanted one of those pillows too.

The kids have these pillows from the fair last year. They are SOOOO soft and they love them. Would have been nice to know that they are $5 at Rite Aide!!!!! Elise HATES commercials so much. She has been way too spoiled with DVR and has a really hard time when you can't fast forward! I just laugh at her:)

Lucy has been wanting a Pillow Pet since last November! Of course at Christmas time the ONLY place I could find them is on Amazon for $250. Every place was sold out. And I'm skeptical about Rite Aid Jamie. There are Pillow Pet wannabes that have cheap velcro that won't hold for long. Hmmm....

Lucy is still saving her own money for one. I guess those commercials are convincing if you can get a six year old to want it for so long.

I feel your pain with six year olds and infomercials! Emma is also an expert on everything sold on TV. She has been wanting a Pillow Pet since Christmas and I've been ignoring her. That is, until last week while we were visiting family in Denver. We pulled into a Rite Aid one evening and Emma gasped in delight (scaring Daddy, who was driving) because she saw Pillow Pets through their front doors. After much discussion about making sure that is what she wanted as a vacation memento, we are now the proud owners of two pillow pets, (because of course, the little sister needs everything the big sister has.) By the way, they were $19 and seem like the real deal. Next on Emma's list: the browie baking pan divider!

Oh-that is so funny-I crack up- cuz Aiden is the same-never mind it's a girl-ish kinda toy-if it's on tv-he thinks he needs it. They had these bean kinda cartoon characters with all sorts of attitudes-Aiden wanted them so badly-It must be a 6 thing
