Guitar Hero and Rock Band are taking over!!! We played Guitar Hero for the first time at a friends house a few weeks ago and were totally hooked. Unfortunately I was so bad I got booed off the stage very quickly every time I tried. Dave was much better. We bought it and it is almost always out now. Chase of course loves it. He and his buddy are going to be guitar mego talents so enough. I was a little surprised that it wasn't as kid friendly as I originaly thought. The songs are a little mature and the characters aren't always dressed too well. Then there are the "dancing girls" as they are known in our house. So we have had to make lots of rules. No playing without an adult present. Only certain songs are approved. No encores or venues where "dancing girls" are present and everybody has to pick a character that is dressed with enough clothes. Things have worked out well. I pass him off when he gets to a point were he can't continue because of a song or venue. I definitely need to start paying better attention to game ratings though. I'm new to all of this. Just because it looks like a good game for our kids doesn't always mean it is.

We're with ya' on this one. We had to do the same with Ile & his buddies. I do like the 80's guitar hero, but I think that most lyrics (past or present) have questionable messages, you know?
The funny things is that all my friends at school are addicted to it as well...
Never played this, but I totally agree on taking a second look at ratings for games. I can't beleive some of the games that they say are ok for kids now days. Of course, I have a son that if I allowed him to, would play xbox all day! AHHHHHH! Poor kid thinks we are soooo lame for only letting play 30 min a day.
Guitar Hero looks really fun. Can I come over and play it sometime?
Micah,
I like the rule set for the game. I have only played it a few times myself and I'm not very good!
