Twighlight

I don't know why it took me so long to crack open these books. They seemed at least partially right up my ally. I almost exclusively read children's literature and these were teen literature...close. I guess it was the vampires and werewolves that kept me at bay. Not really my thing. But after every (no exaggeration) friend of mine both near and far had read them and loved them, I started feeling like a stubborn anti-reader. So I borrowed the first book this last Saturday and finished the last book yesterday. A tribute to a good plot. I enjoyed them very much. I think Bella's character could have been developed a little bit better but they were very enjoyable. I was very interested in Meyers created Vampire and Werewolf culture. But really the strength of her books is her plot, typical for non-adult books. The love story I think is beautiful and the reason I burned through them. Now I can try to rectify all the issues I have created by putting the poor Wilcox household on standby. My poor family. The last week before school starts and I abandon them.

Emily has been recycling her clothes for two days ( I won't let her wear her new school clothes) and the rest of them are here...

We seriously starved yesterday. No cereal, milk (emergency staples) stuff for lunch and we didn't go out to eat dinner until 7:30 when I finally finished book four. This was what our poor fridge looked like...

I didn't get any good pictures of the status of my disaster zone of a home. Poor Dave beat me home from the grocery store and had already started cleaning up. But some of you who unfortunately visited during the last few days have had the misfortune of the hideousness and can bear witness.

Hee-hee. I knew you would like them! My family is also neglected when I'm in the middle of a really good book. Lucky for them I had to space these books out a little more than you did.

I love the pics you posted--real honesty is always appreciated from me. We all have days when the fridge is depleted and the laundry is piled up. Way to go telling it like it is!
And I'm starting book four, but each one has a lost a little steam for me. Hopefully I can fly through this one.

What a good hubby!

Isn't that what your fridge always looks like? :) compared to mine and mom's yours has always seemed this empty. My freezer is now such that you shove something in, slam the door shut, and lock it so the door doesn't pop back open when you leave.

Ok. That is great. I love it that we are friends. I didn't do anything for two days when I read book 4 - including answering the phone. Please! I'm busy. And yes I have pictures to post...we were camping...

Miss you much!

Hilarious Jenn. ALthough my laundry was in hampers, it was just as bad, and my fridge looks EXACTLY the same way. I still have no intentions of going to the store. I just can't do it. And there was one day I told joe that I wasn't sure if the girls ate anything but dry cereal. Bad mothers we are! I'm glad you've read them, now you can join the movie par-tay!

Welcome to the twilight world. Now you will have to check out Forks and Port Angeles, they are only a couple hours away. And you will have one more thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, Edward on the big screen :)

That empty fridge just looks sad...

Glad to see we're still friends, or at least blog buddies! : )

Ahh, but wasn't it worth it? Fantastic books. Now if only the movie will be as good... But from the things I have seen it does look like it might. (At least Edward if cute!)

i'm going to agree with everyone else--i neglect everything when i'm into a good book. Twilight consumed my life for a week while i read through all 4 books. dude, i'm totally stoked for the movie!:)

LOL! I borrowed the first three books and read them in a few days. Thankfully I bought #4, and didn't have to wait for everyone else to finish before I could read it. Poor kids though.
Hey now! I see eggs, carrots, Pillsbury dough of some kind, and what might be potato salad ... I think they would have survived! Water never hurt any one right?

We're using your shot of your laundry for JOn's power point presentation for his final tomorrow... It's better than any we find on stock exchange :)
